Yeh Teri Galiyaan's lead actor Manish Gopalan says the show has a thought-provoking storyline

Produced by Cinevistaas,Yeh Teri Galiyaan is the story of Shantanu and Puchki, who, as kids were raised in Kolkata’s red-light district Sonagachi, befriended each other but were soon separated by a quirk of fate, to evolve into adults with different calling.

Will they, as adults, ever be able to unite as lovers? Or  will the societal pressure of “background” and “upbringing”  throw hurdles in their path?

Manish Gopalan, who plays the role of Shantanu, was recently in Kolkata, to promote the show.

“This is my third show with Zee TV and I’m extremely excited to work with the channel once again," said Gopalan.

"I’m essaying the character of Shantanu on the show. For  an actor, it is  imperative to keep experimenting and reinventing their own selves through vivid roles and I intend to do that with Yeh Teri Galiyaan."

Gopalan said that Yeh Teri Galiyaan  has an unusual, thought-provoking storyline, which sets it apart from  other fiction  shows on TV right now .

"The last show that I did  on Zee TV was more action-packed while this one is an  intense love story," he said.

Calling Kolkata one of his favorite cities, he said, "The city’s rich culture and warmth always makes me feel at home . Being a foodie,I am  really looking forward relishing some yummy Bengali delicacies, especially mouthwatering puchkas and piping hot Luchis and making memories whilst in the city.”

Vrushika Mehta is playing the part of Puchki.

Renee Dhyani, Lavin Gothi, Shubhangi Latkar, Anandi Tripathi,and Akansha  Sareen  are some of the other actors in pivotal roles.
