Abhishek Sharma hammers sizzling 100 to help India beat Zimbabwe by 100 runs
Riding on Abhishek Sharma's sizzling knock of 47-ball100, India bounced back after losing their first match and beat Zimbabwe by 100 runs in the second T20 match of the series to level it here on Sunday.
After posting 234 runs for the loss of two wickets, Indian bowlers bowled out the opponent for 134 runs.
Skipper Shubman Gill failed with the willow once again and was dismissed for 2 runs.
Sharma, who hit seven boundaries and eight sixes in his brutal innings, stabilised the innings with Ruturaj Gaikwad (77) after the initial jolt.
KKR batsman Rinku Singh contributed 48 runs with the willow.
Wellington Masakadza and Blessing Muzarabani added one wicket each but the bowling attack received severe hammering from the Indian batsmen.
Indian bowlers returned with a bang and bowled out the hosts for 134 runs.
Wessly Madhevere remained the only shining spot in the Zimbabwean attack as he hit 43 runs.
Mukesh Kumar and Avesh Khan took three wickets each.
