Jakarta, Aug 23 (IBNS) : Indian teenager Shardul Vihan won silver in the men’s double trap final on Thursday in Palembong.

The 15-year-old lad from Uttar Pradesh shot 73 to claim the silver medal, while Korea's 34-year-old Shin Hyunwoo clinched the gold medal with a score of 74. Qatar's Al Marri Hamad Ali bagged the bronze after shooting 53 at the Jakabaring shooting range.

Shardul qualified for the finals of the event at the top spot.

After a very strong start, Shardul missed for the first time during his 11th shot.

Vihan was tied for first, after having missed just one shot after 20.

But in the later stages and in the final 20 shots, Shin took the game by the scruff of it neck and continued to maintain a healthy lead which eventually won him the gold.
