Australia beat India by 12 runs in last T20 encounter, Virat Kohli and his men clinch series

Sydney: Australia defeated India by 12 runs in the third T20 match of the tournament but the Men In Blue clinched the series 2-1 after registering victory in first two clashes here on Tuesday.

After Australia posted 186 runs for the loss of five wickets, India batsmen were restricted to 174 runs for the loss of seven wickets.

Virat Kohli contributed 85 runs with the willow.

However, after his wicket went down, India failed to move ahead and reach the winning target.

Kohli smashed four boundaries and three sixes in the innings.

Mitchell Swempson picked up three wickets for Australia.
