Australian Open: Sania commences journey with victory

Melbourne, Jan 18 (IBNS): Indian Tennis star Sania Mirza has commneced her Australian Open journey with a win.

In her doubles match, Sania and her partner Barbora Strycova of Czech Republic defeated Jocelyn Rae and Anna Smith of Great Britain.

In their first round match, the Indo-Czech pair defeated their opponents 6-3, 6-1 to cruise to the second round of the torunament.

They will meet Australian-Chinese duo of Samantha Stosur-Shuai Zhang in the next round.
