Badminton: Saina reaches number 2 spot in world rankings

London, Mar 12 (IBNS) Indian badminton star Saina Nehwal has regained the number two spot on the latest rankings released by the Badminton World Federation on Thursday.

She is one spot behind Li Xuerui of China.

A delighted Saina tweeted: "Very happy to b world number 2 today would like to thank my coach Vimal Kumar sir , my parents."

"Also I would like to thank my lovely fans for the great support," she said.

She moved to the number 2 spot after her strong performance in the recently held All England Championship where she lost in the final clash.
