Bajaj Allianz Junior Football Camp holds city trial in Kolkata
Kolkata, July 17 (IBNS): Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance, a private life insurers, conducted the selection process for its Junior Football Camp (JFC) Season 7 in Kolkata on Sunday.
The annual Bajaj Allianz Life Junior Football Camp (JFC) provides young, talented footballers in the country an opportunity to show their mettle.
The top five participants from India will get a once in a lifetime opportunity for training by FC Bayern Munich players.
This year’s city trial in Kolkata was conducted at Mohun Bagan stadium. Nearly 6000 students were targeted across 30 schools and 40 football academies in and around the city. Similar city trials will also be conducted in Pune, Kochi, Mumbai, Patna, Bhubaneswar, and Guwahati.
Commenting on this initiative, Subrat Mohanty, Head of Marketing, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance said, “Bajaj Allianz and the game of football have a strong association. Football, which represents speed, passion, vigour and youthfulness, would help us reach out and communicate our passion to provide the best selected young footballers get a lifetime opportunity of training by international football coaches of FC Bayern Munich and also interact with the football players from the club.”
"Through this sport, we also aim to encourage the young talent and shape them into future football stars of the country," Mohanty added.
The Junior Football Camp is organized in association with Allianz SE, the official partner of FC Bayern Munich.
The camp is held in Munich, Germany in the third week of August 2016 and gives teenagers from across the globe the opportunity to meet and get trained with the legendary FC Bayern Munich coaches on the club’s official training ground.
They would also get a chance to attend a match at Allianz Arena, the world-renowned football stadium and meet football stars from FC Bayern Munich such as Thomas Mueller and others.
