Bangladesh win first ODI against India by 79 runs, takes 1-0 lead in series
Mustafizur Rahman's brilliant bowling helped his side bowl out India for 228 runs in 46 overs after his side posted a massive 307 runs on the scorecard.
Rohit Sharma (63) and Shikhar Dhawan (30) showed some form and momentum at the top of the batting order as they joined to put together a 95 runs opening wicket partnership.
Suresh Raina later tried to bring back India in the match with his 40 and together with Ravindra Jadeja (32) they added 60 runs in the sixth wicket partnership.
Bangladesh bowlers, however, kept taking wickets to bowl out India for 228.
This was India's fourth defeat against Bangladesh.
In the World Cup quarter-finals, India had defeated Bangladesh this year.
Earlier, Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza won the toss and elected to bat first.
They were given a flying start by the openers who also shared a century plus stand but was put to hold after a mis-communication had one of them run out.
Tamim Iqbal (60), Soumya Sarkar (54), Shakib Al Hasan (52) and Sabbir Rahman (41) contributed with their willow to post a decent 307 before the Indian bowlers took all 10 of their wickets.
Ravichandran Ashwin was the pick of the Indian bowlers as the spinner picked up 3 crucial wickets in his quota of 10 overs and gave away 51 runs. Bhuvneswar Kumar and Umesh Yadav picked up 2 wickets each.
With this win, Bangladesh won nine matches continuously on the home turf.
