BCCI announces India's squads for Afghanistan, Ireland, England series

Mumbai, May 8 (IBNS): Indian selectors on Tuesday named the squads for the upcoming series against Afghanistan, England and Ireland.

Ajinkya Rahane has been named as the skipper of the Indian Test team for the one-off match against Afghanistan.

The match will mark Afghanistan's debut in the world of Test cricket.

India and Afghanistan will play the only Test match of the series in Bengaluru in June.

The match will be held between 14 to 18 June at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Ajinkya will lead in the squad in the absence of regular skipper Virat Kohli.

Kohli will play for Surrey county club of England during that period.

After the Test series, India will fly to England where they will play T20 series against Ireland.

Malahide Cricket Club ground will host the two-match T20 International series between India and Ireland.

India will then play three T20Is, as many one-dayers and five Tests against England.

Teams for T20 and three-match ODI series against Ireland and England have been named by selectors.

Test team remains unannounced.

Kohli will lead the squads in Ireland and England.

Team India for three-match T20I series against England announced: Virat (Capt), Shikhar, Rohit, KL Rahul, Raina, Manish, MS Dhoni(wk), Dinesh Karthik, Chahal, Kuldeep, Sundar, Bhuvneshwar, Bumrah, Hardik, Kaul, Umesh

Team India for three-match ODI series against England announced: Virat (Capt), Shikhar, Rohit, KL Rahul, Shreyas, Rayudu, MS Dhoni(wk), Dinesh Karthik, Chahal, Kuldeep, Sundar, Bhuvneshwar, Bumrah, Hardik, Kaul, Umesh
