The IPL 2020 is scheduled to begin with a match between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians on Sept 19 in the UAE.

The IPL, which is usually held between March and June, was delayed in 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic in India.

As the Covid-19 situation is still grim in the Asian country, the Indian cricket board had decided to move the mega T20 tournament out of the country.
