Bedi, Laxman congratulate Indian team

New Delhi, July 21 (IBNS): Former Indian cricketers congratulated Indian team for winning a Test match at Lord's in England after 28 years on Monday.

India created history as they won a Test match at Lord's after 28 years by beating England by 95 runs.

Former Indian skipper  Bishan Singh Bedi  tweeted: " Well done India-Well bowled Ishant!No sympathies fr Eng who need a head-master not a coach!!! "

Former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman feels the contribution of every player made the victory 'special'.

" Wow!! Fantastic win!! Congratulations to msd and his boys for such a significant win!! You made the entire country proud!! @BCCI."

Appreciating Ishant Sharma's performance in the match, he said: " Really pleased for @ImIshant. i always appreciated his work ethic and his attitude towards the game. always gave his best to his team. @BCCI ."

" What makes this win even more special is that everyone contributed in the win. Great team effort. @BCCI #TheBigTest ," Laxman posted on his twitter homepage.

Indian fast bowler Ishant Sharma bowled brilliantly as he picked up seven wickets to destroy the English line-up in the second Test match of the five-match series.

India goes 1-0 up in the series with the victory.
