Calcutta South Club AITA Championship Series

Kolkata, Sept 9 (IBNS): Three (3) seeds in the qualifying rounds of Boys Singles Under 14 fails to enter the Main Draw of the ongoing Calcutta South Club AITA Championship Series 2018, been held at the synthetic courts of the Calcutta South Club Ltd.

5th seeded Arya Mundhra was the shown the door in the final qualifying rounds of the Boys Singles Under 14 by unseeded Ayush Ghorai by a straight 1-6,4-6. Rachit Kumar, seeded 6 in the qualifying draw also had the same fate as he went down fighting against Avneesh Agarwal by a long 6-4,2-6,1-6.

In the third upset of the day, 7th seeded Amrit Vats lost against Srinjoy Ghosh by an easy 0-6,2-6.

Main Draw matches will start from 8:30 am on Monday.
