Caroline to meet Errani in quarters

New York, Sept 1 (IBNS) Caroline Wozniacki will face Sara Errani of Italy in the quarterfinals of thew women's singles event of the US open here.

Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki   defeated Russian Maria Sharapova  6-4, 2-6, 6-2 to reach the next round.

The Italian booked her seat in the quarter-finals by defeating Mirjana Lucic-Baroni of Crotia 6-3, 2-6, 6-0.
