Chennai, Sept 17 (IBNS): Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell took a stunning catch to dismiss Indian captain Virat Kohli in the first ODI match against India here on Sunday.

India earlier won the toss and opted to bat first.

India, however, continued losing wickets at regular intervals to be left in a tough position earlier in the innings.

Nathan Coulter-Nile performed remarkably to dismiss Kohli (0), Ajinkya Rahane (5) and Manish Pandey (0).

Kohli's dismissal earned special mention in the match as he was shown the door to the pavilion after Maxwell took a brilliant catch.

Cricket Australia's official Twitter page read: "An absolute screamer from @Gmaxi_32 sends Kohli on his way for a duck! http://cricketa.us/INDvAUS17_O1  #INDvAUS."
