Chris Gayle becomes father

Jamaica, Apr 21 (IBNS): West Indies cricket Chris Gayle, who is known for playing his big shots on the cricket field, has welcomed the arrival of his first daughter.

Gayle said he has named his daughter 'Blush'.

Posting a picture with his partner Natasha Berridge on his Instagram account, Gayle wrote: "We would like to welcome the arrival of our beautiful daughter 'Blush' to this world 2 hours ago, Thank God. #GoodHealth&Strength - The greatest gift and feelings anyone would want. Great experience witnesses every bit of it. 🙏🏿😍🍼. Have to give my blessings to Tasha, strong woman 😘.#Amen."

Gayle, who was playing Indian Premier League in India flew back to Jamaica earlier to be with his partner for the birth of their daughter.

Gayle's IPL side Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli took on Twitter to congratulated him.

"Congratulations @henrygayle & Natasha. Proud to be called 'Uncle Virat' by your angel Blush #GreatNews #Fatherhood," Kohli tweeted.

Before IPL, Gayle was busy playing the World T20 for West Indies in India. West Indies beat England to win the cup.
