Clarke to quit ODI cricket after Sunday's WC final
Announcing his decision to end his 12 years ODI journey, the cricketer said in a press conference: "I think it's the right time for me and the Australian cricket team."
He said: "I was very fortunate four years ago to get the chance to captain this one-day team and I think that was really preparation for me leading up to this World Cup, and I think the next Australian captain deserves the same opportunity."
Clarke will make his 245th ODI appearance as he will lead his side in his first World Cup final as the captain of the five-time world champion side.
Clarke has so far scored 7907 runs in ODIs.
