Moscow - Croatia created history on Wednesday reaching the 2018 FIFA World Cup final for the first time beating England 2-1 in the semi-finals. The match winner was netted in the extra-time by Mario Mandzukic after a 1-1 tie in the full time.

Croatia will now meet France in the final of the World Cup on Sunday next.

England, which played their first semifinal since 1990, drew the first blood through Kieran Trippier’s fifth-minute free kick but Croatia's Ivan Perisic after 68 minutes equalized it and they started dominating the second half.

The match went to extra-time when Mandzukic ensured that the European team playing its first semifinal since 1998 also reach the final for the first time.
