CWG: India defeat Scotland in Hockey encounter

Glasgow, July 26 (IBNS): India defeated Scotland in a Commonwealth Games match 6-2 here on Saturday.

Putting up a dominant performance, Gurbaj Singh (6th minute), Raghunath Ramachandra (22nd, 44th), Rupinder Singh (36th, 49th) and Gurwinder Chandi (40th) scored the six goals for India.

In reply, Kenny Bain (56th) and Nicholas Parkes (68th) scored two goals for Scotland to reduce their difference.

India had defeated Wales 3-1 in the first match.
