Delhi Daredevils appoints Ricky Ponting as head coach

New Delhi, Jan 5 (IBNS): Former Australia captain Ricky Ponting has been appointed as the head coach of IPL side Delhi Daredevils.

Making the announcement, the IPL side tweeted: "We are glad to announce our new head coach for IPL 2018 and it is none other than the legend, Ricky Ponting. #DilDilliHai."

Ponting had earlier coached Mumbai Indians for two seasons in 2015 (when they won the title) & 2016.

He had played in the tournament for KKR and Mumbai Indians too.
