Delhi Dynamos FC ropes in goalkeepers Sanjiban Ghosh, Ishan Debnath

New Delhi, Oct 4 (IBNS): Delhi Dynamos FC on Sunday announced the signing of two goalkeepers Sanjiban Ghosh and Ishan Debnath on emergency loan.

The signing was done as two of their goalkeeping custodians Subhasish Roy Chowdhury and Ravi Kumar are currently undergoing rehab and will be joining the team once they are fit.

Sanjiban who plays as a goalkeeper for Mumbai in the I-League started his footballing career with Southern Samity in Kolkata before joining Mumbai F.C. of the I-League in 2011. He then made his debut for Mumbai in the I-League in 2012 against Salgaocar.

Ishan Debnath currently plays for Prayag United in the I-League. Ishan as he made his debut for Mumbai F.C. in the 2011 Indian Federation Cup against Salgaocar.

Commenting on their inclusion in the Delhi squad, Roberto Carlos, marquee player manager Delhi Dynamos said, "We are facing an injury crisis in our goalkeeping department as Subhasish and Ravi are struggling with injuries. As a result, we have signed goalkeeping duo of Mumbai FC’s Sanjiban Ghosh and Ishan Debnath as emergency reinforcements. We are sure they will display great alacrity and judgement when defending Delhi Dynamos’ goalpost."


Delhi Dynamos will play their first match against FC Goa on Sunday.
