Melbourne, Jan 17 (IBNS): Indian skipper MS Dhoni on Sunday said the fielding performance of his team let them down in the third ODI against Australia.

"In this game, our fielding has let us down," Dhoni said.

"Today, we let down with our fielding," he said.

He said his bowlers bowled 'descent'.

He called his bowling line-up as 'inexperienced'.

In a closely fought encounter, Australia defeated India by three wickets in the third ODI to clinch the series here on Sunday.

Chasing India's 295 for six, Australia reached 296 runs for the loss of seven wickets with seven balls to spare.
