Ex-Indian cricketers congratulate Rohit Sharma and his men after victory against Pakistan in Asia Cup match

Mumbai, Sept 24 (IBNS): Ex-Indian cricketers, including former captain Sachin Tendulkar, congratulated current skipper Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan after they guided India to nine wickets victory against Pakistan in a Super Four stage match of the Asia Cup on Sunday.

Sachin tweeted: " Congratulations on your 100s @ImRo45 and @SDhawan25. Such clean hitting! Always a joy to watch you both in full flow. #INDvPAK."

Ex-cricketer VVS Laxman said: "Congratulations India on another clinical performance .The bowlers were brilliant in restricting Pakistan to 237 and Shikhar and Rohit were just marvellous on the day. Top team effort #INDvPAK."

Ex-opener Virender Sehwag congratulated by posting: "Bharat ! Congratulations on a wonderful victory. Dhawan , Rohit were terrific and this is so wonderful to watch #INDvPAK."

Riding on skipper Rohit Sharma (111*) and Shikhar Dhawan's (114) match-winning knocks, India defeated Pakistan by nine wickets in a Super Four stage match of the Asia Cup here on Sunday.

Dhawan and Rohit added 210 runs in the opening stand as India chased down the target of 238 runs quite comfortably.

After restricting Pakistan at 237 runs for the loss of seven wickets, India reached 238 runs by losing just 1 wicket and .

This was India's second victory against Pakistan in the tournament.

India had thrashed the ICC Champions Trophy winners in the group stage match of the tournament earlier.
