Fed Cup defeat: MB top officials resign

Kolkata, Jan 4 (IBNS) Top officials of Kolkata football giant Mohun Bagan resigned following the clun's early exit from the Federation Cup after the side suffered a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Salgaocar SC on Sunday.

The club said Mohun Bagan President Swapan Sadhan Bose, General Secretary Anjan Mitra and Finance Secretary Debashis Dutta hace quit following the defeat of the club.

"It is with humble gratitude we wish to inform that Mr. Swapan Sadhan Bose, President of Mohun Bagan Athletic Club, Mr. Debashis Dutta, Hony. Finance Secretary of Mohun Bagan Athletic Club and the undersigned hereby extend their resignation from their respective Portfolio of the Club Administration with immediate effect," the club said in a statement on Sunday.

"Further to the above, Mr. Swapan Sadhan Bose, Mr. Debashis Dutta and the undersigned all Directors of United Mohun Bagan Football Team Private Limited also serve their resignation from the post of Director of the Company," it said.
