Five sides to battle out in Kuala Lumpur from 15-22 October for final place in ICC U19 CWC 2016

Dubai, Sept 22 (IBNS) The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday announced the schedule of the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2015, which will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from Oct 15 to 22.

Sides from Ireland, Nepal, Papua New Guinea (PNG), Uganda and the United States of America (USA) will take part in the tournament with the winner qualifying for the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2016, which will be staged in Bangladesh from22 January to 14 February. This is their second and final chance to qualify for next year’s World Cup after they finished second in their respective regional qualifying tournaments.

Apart from the 10 Test playing countries, Afghanistan, Canada, Fiji, Namibia and Scotland have already sealed places in the tournament, which is billed as platform for future stars.

Kinrara Oval and Bayumas Oval will equally share 12 matches between them, with Kinrara Oval to stage the final. All matches will start at 0930 local time.

Thurs, 15 Oct – Nepal v PNG, Kinrara Oval; Uganda v USA, Bayumas Oval
Fri, 16 Oct – PNG v Ireland, Kinrara Oval; Nepal v Uganda
Sun, 18 Oct – PNG v Uganda, Kinrara Oval; USA v Ireland, Bayumas Oval
Mon, 19 Oct – Nepal v USA, Kinrara Oval; Uganda v Ireland, Bayumas Oval
Wed, 21 Oct – Nepal v Ireland, Kinrara Oval; PNG v USA, Bayumas Oval
Thurs, 22 Oct – Final, Kinrara Oval; 3rd/4th place play-off, Bayumas Oval
