Former England footballer Ugo Ehiogu dies

London, Apr 21 (IBNS): Former England football Ugo Ehiogu has passed away.

He was 44.

Tottenham said the footballer collapsed collapsing at Training Centre of the club.

He suffered cardiac arrest  at the centre on Thursday.

"Ugo received immediate treatment after suffering a cardiac arrest at the Training Centre yesterday before being transferred to hospital, where he passed away in the early hours of this morning," the club said in a statement.

Head of Coaching and Player Development of Tottenham John McDermott said in a statement: “Words cannot express the shock and sadness that we all feel at the Club. Ugo’s immense presence will be irreplaceable. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to his wife Gemma and his family.”
