French Open: Novak reaches semi-final

Paris, June 3 (IBNS) Serbian Tennis star Novak Djokovic defeated Canadian Milos Raonic to reach the semi-final of the French Open here on Tuesday.

Djokovic beat his opponent 7-5, 7-6 (7/4), 6-4.

He will face  Ernests Gulbis  in the semi-final.

Gulbis stunned  Tomas Berdych  of Czech Republic   6-3, 6-2, 6-4 to book his seat int he last four stage of the tournament.

In the women's singles, Russia's Maria Sharapova defeated  Garbine Muguruza  of Spain by  1-6, 7-5, 6-1  to reach the semi-final on Tuesday.

The 2012- champion will face Eugenie Bouchard  of Canada in the next stage of ther tournament.
