Goalkeeper Donnarumma decides to quit AC Milan

Milan, June 16 (IBNS): Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma decided to quit AC Milan as he recently declined to sign a new deal with the football club, media reports.

Rossoneri chief executive Marco Fassone said that Donnarumma has made a "definitive decision" to not renew the contract. He was informed by the keeper's agent, Mino Raiola.

The 18-year- old keeper made his debut two years back for the Italian football club and played around 70 matches since then.

Calling the decision to be surprising, Fassone said that they were planning to have Donnarumma as the future keeper for Milan.

"Naturally, the decision leaves a bitter taste in the mouth, but now we have to go forward" he was quoted as saying by media.
