ICC releases official song 'Stand By' for Cricket World Cup 2019

Dubai, May 18 (UNI): The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the official song 'Stand By' for Cricket World Cup 2019.

The official song 'Stand By' is a collaboration between new artist LORYN and one of the UK’s most successful well-known British band, Rudimental, ICC's official website said in a statement on Friday.

The song will be played in ground and city events across the tournament as the official song to this summer’s showpiece event, starting May 30.

The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 is one of the world’s biggest global sporting events.

This years' World Cup will be played with a round-robin format, will see each team playing nine matches before the final four face-off in the final on Jul 14 at the Lord's in London.

A total of 48 matches will be played over a span of a month and 15 days and Australia will look to defend their title.

India will begin their World Cup campaign against South Africa on Jun 5 at the Rose Bowl in Southampton.
