Indian hockey team scripted a 4-1 victory over South Korea to cruise to the final of the Asia Cup in Moqi on Monday.

Uttam Singh (13’) provided India an early lead in the match.

Harmanpreet Singh (19’, 45+’) and Jarmanpreet Singh (32’) added more goals to take away the match from Korea's chance of returning to the game.

Korea's only point of happiness was in the 33rd minute of the game when Jihun Yang contributed a goal.

Uttam, started the match by attacking the Korean defence regularly.

A clinical team performance helped Uttam to take the initial lead in the game.

India earned their first penalty corner in the second quarter of the game.

Harmanpreet helped India take 2-0 lead by striking in the second penalty corner.

By creating circle entries, India continuously kept the pressure on the opponent team.

Both squads created oppurtunities to score goals in the third quarter of the game.

An error from Korean goalkeeper Jaehan Kim gifted India a penalty corner just close to the third quarter of the game.

Harmanpreet flicked the ball hard and low to the new keeper Daewon Oh’s right which ensured India took 4-1 lead in the game.

India controlled the fourth quarter of the match and pushed to give tough time to the Korean defence.

Hero of the Match, Jarmanpreet Singh was quoted as saying by Hockey India website,"We played exceptionally well today, we are happy to advance to the Final. Sumit provided me with a splendid ball for the goal and I am thankful to my roommate, who understands me so well, for setting up the goal for me.”
