India-Sri Lanka face-off in second T20I today

Indore, Dec 22 (IBNS): After demolishing the visitors in Cuttack, India will eye on to seal the ongoing three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka by registering a win at Holkar Stadium in Indore on Friday.

India defeated Sri Lanka in the first T20I match by 93 runs on Wednesday.

Yuzvendra Chahal picked up four wickets while Hardik Pandya took three which helped India bowl out Sri Lanka for 87 runs. India had posted 180 runs for the loss of three wickets in 20 overs.

With nearly all the Sri Lankan batsmen surrendering before Indian attack, it was only Upul Tharanga (23) who put up some amount of resistance.

MS Dhoni (39) and Manish Pandey (32) made some important contributions with their willows.

Rohit Sharma is leading the Indian team in the shortest format in absence of regular captain Virat Kohli.

India lead the T20I series 1-0.

Sri Lanka will look to comeback and level the series in Indore.

India had earlier defeated Sri Lanka in both the Test and ODI series.
