India's Samrat Sen clinches gold in Asian Kettlebell Championship 2019

Kolkata/Taipei, Aug 6 (IBNS): Kolkata-based sportsperson Samrat Sen clinched the gold medal under 95kg category with double 24kg Kettlebell Biathlon in the Asian Kettlebell Championship 2019 in Taipei.

The Asian Kettlebell Championship 2019 was held in Taipei on July 26-28.

Seven countries and 80 athletes participated in it.

Taiwan, Japan, Korea, India, China, Hong Kong & The Philippines were the participating nations in the event.

Four athletes represented India and won respective laurels.

Samrat Sen from Kolkata won the gold Medal under 95kg category with double 24kg Kettlebell Biathlon.

Securing 78reps of jerk and 100reps of snatch he also achieved the International Rank 1 under WKSF Ranking Table.

The competition was held at the Taipei Nangang Sports Center
