IPL 2020: Lockie Ferguson heroics help Kolkata Knight Riders beat SRH in Super Over

Abu Dhabi/UNI: Kolkata Knight Riders beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in Super Over in the 35th match of the IPL 2020, at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, here on Sunday.

Kolkata Knight Riders, batting first posted a total of 163/5 in 20 overs courtesy brilliant cameos by Eoin Morgan (34) and Dinesh Karthik (29*).

Apart from Morgan and Kartik, Shubman Gill (36), Rahul Tripathi (23), and Nitish Rana (29) also made valuable contributions with the bat.

In reply, SRH also scored 163-6 in their 20 overs. The scores were levelled, forcing the match into Super Over.

In Super over, Lockie Ferguson bowled for KKR and dismissed both Warner and Samad to restrict SRH for only 2 runs. 2/2 was the joint-lowest Super Over score in IPL equalling KXIP against DC earlier in the season.

For KKR, captain Eoin Morgan and Dinesh Kartik came to bat and chased down the target easily without losing any wicket.

With this win, KKR retained their spot in the top 4 with 10 points from 9 matches.
