IPL 2021: Punjab Kings defeat Mumbai Indians by nine wickets

Chennai/IBNS: Punjab Kings defeated Mumbai Indians by nine wickets in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match at MA Chidambaram Stadium here on Friday.

Batting first, Mumbai scored 131/6 in 20 overs.

Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma was the top scorer with his 63-run innings.

Suryakumar Yadav and Keiron Pollard scored 33 and 16 respectively.

Mohammad Shami and Ravi Bishnoi picked two wickets each.

In reply, Punjab scored 132/1 in 17.4 overs.

Punjab skipper KL Rahul led from the front scoring an unbeaten 60 off 42 while Chris Gayle scored unbeaten 43 off 35 balls.
