IPL 2024: Avesh Khan's last-over brilliance denies DC win over RR

Jaipur/IBNS: Fast bowler Avesh Khan's last-over brilliance with the ball denied Delhi Capitals a win over Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 here on Thursday.

Batting first, RR posted 185/5 in 20 overs, thanks to Riyan Parag's unbeaten 84 from 45 balls.

Parag's innings rescued RR from a spot of bother as they were tottering at 36-3 at one point. Ravichandran Ashwin contributed 29 runs from 19 balls.

Chasing the target, DC were strong in the run chase but stopped short of 12 runs from RR's total.

David Warner's 49 from 34 balls and Tristan Stubbs' unbeaten 44 couldn't take the visitors home.

Two wickets were picked by Yuzvendra Chahal and Nandre Burger each for RR.
