IPL: De Kock's fifty guides MI to 7-wicket win over RR

New Delhi/UNI: Riding on fantastic fifty by Quinton de Kock, defending champions Mumbai Indians thrashed Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets in an IPL game, here on Thursday.

Put into bat, Rajasthan Royals posted 171 for four in 20 overs. Skipper Sanju Samson (42 off 27 balls), Jos Buttler (41 off 32 balls) and Shivam Dube (35 off 31 balls) made useful contributions with with bat for RR.

For Mumbai, spinner Rahul Chahar (2/33) picked two wickets, while pacers Jasprit Bumrah (1/15) and Trent Boult (1/37) took one wicket each.

In reply, opener De Kock smashed an unbeaten 50-ball 70, while Krunal Pandya made 39 off 26 balls as MI gunned down the target in 18.3 overs to break their two-match losing streak.

Chris Morris (2/33) was the most successful bowler for RR, while Mustafizur Rahman (1/) picked one wicket.

It was Mumbai's third win in six matches of IPL 2021.
