IPL: Dhoni helps CSK beat RR

Ranchi, May 13 (IBNS): MS Dhoni once again proved his tag of being one of the best finishers in world cricket as correct as he hammered the needed 12 ruins in the last over to help his side Chennai Super Kings beat Rajasthan Royals by five wickets in a Indian Premier League match here on Tuesday.

Chasing Rajasthan's 148 for eight, CSK reached 149 by losing five wickets in a last over thriller.

Doni remained unbeaten at 26 off 16 balls, hitting one six and a boundary. His innings was far crucial than the runs he scored coming down as he finished the game in his style for CSK.

With everyday, it shows that CSK is becoming one consistent team in every IPL. This year too the side looks comfortable enough under the leadership o the skipper to make it to the semi-finals of the cash-rich tournament.

Ravindra Jadeja alxso played a handy knock of unbeaten 11 runs off six balls at the end which proved to be quite useful.

Though Brendon McCullum (6)  and Suresh Raina (2) failed with their willows up the order but

Dwayne Smith stabilised the innings with his 44.

Faf du Plessis remained the second highest scorer or the side with his 38.

Ankit Sharma  picked up two wickets for Rajasthan.
Earlier, Rajasthan posted 148 for eight on the scoreboard.

Skipper Shane Watson top scored for the side with  his 51 off 36 balls. He hit three boundaries and four sixes in his knock.

Mohit Sharma  took three wickets for CSK while Jadeja picked up two.

CSK: 149 for five in 19.4 overs (D Smith 44,  F du Plessis  38, MS Dhoni 26no; A Sharma 2/20)
