IPL: Sandeep Sharma reprimanded for code of conduct breach

Mohali, May 8 (IBNS): Sandeep Sharma, the Kingâ€™s XI Punjab fast-bowler, was fined 50 percent of his match fee for showing dissent at an umpireâ€™s decision during his teamâ€™s match against the Gujarat Lions at IS Bhindra Stadium on Sunday, an official statement read.

Sharma admitted to the Level 1 offence 2.1.5 of the IPL Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials and accepted the sanction, as such there was no need for a formal hearing.

For Level 1 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct, the match referee’s decision is final and binding.
