Ireland beat Zimbabwe by 5 runs
After scoring 331 runs for the loss of eight wickets, Ireland bowlers managed to all out Zimbabwe for 326 runs.
Skipper Brendan Taylor (126) and Sean Williams' (96) fight went in vain as the side fell short of the needed five runs for victory.
Ireland's Alex Cusack bowled brilliantly to pick up four wickets and destroy the African side.
The Irish side, who had earlier stunned another Test playing side West Indies in the tournament, put up a disciplined show with the ball which helped them clinch the victory.
With an eye on the quarter-finals, Ireland will need to perform well in the last two matches of their group stage match where they will also meet current champions India.
Riding on Ed Joyce (112) and Andy Balbirnie (97)'s third wicket partnership of 138 runs, ireland had posted 331 runs on the scorecard.
