Srinagar: sports, manufacturer of Kashmir willow bats will provide a platform to the talented cricketers of the country to reach the international level.

Addressing a press conference at Halmulla Anantnag in south Kashmir on Saturday, the Managing Director of the GR8 sports Fawzul Kabir said that the company has roped up various international cricket boards and leagues which will pioneer the talented players of the country including from the Kashmir valley.

“This initiative will provide an opportunity to the potential cricketers to play in the international cricket teams and international cricket leagues,” he said.

GR8 sports is an International Cricket Council (ICC) approved company whose cricket bats and other items have become the first brand from Kashmir Valley being used by international cricket players. The Kashmiri willow made bats were also endorsed by the leading international cricket players during the past few years.

The manufacturer has already signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with various international and National Cricket franchisees, Sports Management companies and various cricket Boards of the world in this regard.

Kabir said that he has observed a high level of talent among the cricket players in Kashmir but the required support which would ensure that they reach the mega stages is lacking.

The selection process would be decided after the players upload their batting, bowling and wicket keeping video clippings on the companies social media facebook@gr8sports.biz and Twitter @gr8sports_ltd.

Kabir has asked all the talented cricket players of the Kashmir valley as well as other parts of the country to avail the opportunity to make their future bright in sports through GR8 sports.

He said that every player needs to upload at least twenty entries on "Gr8sports.org" which could be properly assessed and shortlisted for selection.

He said the company has also decided to start a monthly talk show from March this year that will be live on social media platforms where queries of players will be answered besides that international players will guide talented players as well.
