Turin, July 11 (IBNS):  Cristiano Ronaldo has now become one of the four most valuable soccer players after he was signed by Italian football club Juventus for £99.2m to sever his long association with Real Madrid , media reports said.

A deal of £99.2m (112m euros) has been signed by the two clubs, Real Madrid and Juventus.

The 33-year old Portugese football icon has signed a four-year deal with Juventus.

Following the development, Ronaldo's reaction has been quoted by BBC, "The time has come to open a new stage in my life, that's why I asked the club to accept transferring me."

Ronaldo has won four Champions League titles during his nine-year stint with Real Madrid.

In August last year, Brazilian football star Neymar was transferred from Spanish football team Barcelona to Paris St-Germain (PSG) with a world record fees of £200m.

PSG have spent £166m as transfer fees for French striker Kylian Mbappe, who has caught attention in the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2018.

Barcelona paid Liverpool £142m for Brazilian mid-fielder Philippe Coutinho.
