Kartik extends lead at SRF TGF East Zone Qualifier

Kolkata, July 1 (IBNS): Kartik Sharma extended his lead to two shots at the end of the second round of the SRF The Golf Foundation’s Talent Search Golf Championship (East Zone) being played at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club here on Wednesday.

Kartik shot an even-par 72 for a two-day total of 1-under 143.

Gurkirat Singh brought in the day’s second best card to maintain his second spot. Divans Chadha was atop the Category B leaderboard after shooting a four-over 76 for a two day total of 10-over 154 to lead Sandeep Yadav by a stroke.

Meanwhile, Joysurjo Dey emerged as the leader in Category C for boys with a score of 86 with Bappa Mondal placed second five strokes behind.
