Madras HC dismisses writ petition filed by CSK Cricket Ltd

| | Jan 21, 2016, at 02:30 am
Mumbai, Jan 20 (IBNS) The Madras High Court on Wednesday dismissed the writ petition filed by the Chennai Super Kings Cricket Ltd. challenging the suspension of CSK Franchise as not being maintainable.

"The PIL filed by Mr. Subramanian Swamy in the same matter has also been dismissed as the Honourable Supreme Court has given liberty only to an "aggrieved party" to challenge the Justice R.M. Lodha committee proceedings," the BCCI said in a statement.

Soon after the 2015 IPL was over, which was declared corruption free, there were talks about teams getting suspended and the inevitable took place only months later. As CSK and RR were suspended from the league for 2 years, New teams from Rajkot and Pune were granted permission to play in the league for 2 years.
