MU: Ryan Giggs takes temporary role

Manchester, Apr 22 (IBNS): Manchester United has sacked manager David Moyes and on Tuesday said player-coach Ryan Giggs take charge for the first team 'until a permanent appointment can be made'.

"Following the departure of David Moyes as manager, Manchester United has announced that Ryan Giggs, the club’s most decorated player, will assume responsibility for the first team until a permanent appointment can be made," United's website said.

It said: "The club will make no further comment on this process until it is concluded."

Moyes was sacked only ten months after he was handed over the task.

He had succeed Sir Alex Ferguson.
