No Indian player named in ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 team
The ICC press release said names of India bowlers Umesh Yadav, Mohammad Shami and R Ashwin were discussed for possible selection in the team.
India skipper MS Dhoni also failed to get a place in the side.
Under Dhoni's leadership, India reached the semi-final of the tournament where they were defeated by Australia.
Australia defeated New Zealand in Sunday's final to clinch the trophy for the fifth time.
Brendon McCullum has been named the skipper of the team.
In addition to McCullum, the side includes four New Zealanders – Corey Anderson, Trent Boult, Martin Guptill, Daniel Vettori – three Australians in Glenn Maxwell, Steven Smith and Mitchell Starc, two South Africans, AB de Villiers and Morne Morkel, with Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara as wicketkeeper-batsman.
Zimbabwe’s Brendan Taylor, who finished with 433 runs in six matches, was named as the 12th man.
