Oscar Pistorius granted bail

Pretoria , Dec 8 (IBNS) Athlete Oscar Pistorius , who is awaiting sentencing after being convicted of murder for killing his model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, has been granted bail by a South African court on Tuesday, media reports.

"Judges changed his conviction from manslaughter to murder last week," BBC reported.

The athlete has already served one year in prison.

According to police, Pistorius fired four hollow point rounds into a locked toilet door in the early hours of Valentine's Day 2013 that resulted in the death of his girlfriend.
