Pakistani cricketer Imad Wasim’s marriage collapses amid ‘third party’ claim

Pakistani cricketer Imad Wasim has announced his separation from his wife Sannia Ashfaq, citing irreconcilable differences, media reports said.

In a statement shared on social media, Wasim said that despite repeated efforts, differences that had persisted over the past few years could not be resolved, prompting the couple to mutually part ways, according to ARY News.

The cricketer also appealed to the media and the public to respect the family’s privacy during this difficult period.

Imad Wasim married London-based Sannia Ashfaq in August 2019. The couple has three children.

In a separate statement, Sannia alleged that the involvement of a “third party” led to the breakdown of the marriage.

Writing on Instagram, she said: “I am writing this from a place of deep pain. My home has been broken, and my children have been left without their father. I am a mother of three, including a five-month-old infant who has yet to be held by his father.”

She added: “This is not a story I wished to share, but silence should never be mistaken for weakness.”

Sannia further stated that while the marriage had faced challenges, she remained committed to preserving the family. “What ultimately ended this marriage was the involvement of a third party, whose intention was to marry my husband, which became the final blow to an already struggling union,” she said.
