RCB wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik fined

Mumbai, May 17 (IBNS): Royal Challengers Bangalore wicket- keeper Dinesh Karthik has been fined 20 percent of his match fee for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday, officials said.

"Dinesh Karthik of Royal Challengers Bangalore was fined 20% of his match fee for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct during his team’s match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad on Friday evening," the IPL website said.

"Match referee Roshan Mahanama found Mr Karthik guilty of the level 1 offence (Article 2.1.8) of conduct that is contrary to the spirit of the game," it said.

For Level 1 breaches of the IPL Code of Conduct, the Match Referee’s decision is final and binding.
