Rio: Usain Bolt wins gold in 200m

Rio, Aug 19 (IBNS): Jamaican athlete Usain Bolt won his third successive Olympic 200m gold medal on Thursday, continuing his domination on the track.

The athlete timed 19.78 seconds to win the yellow metal.

Failing to give him much competition, Canadian Andre de Grasse clinched the silver medal  with 20.02seconds and France's Christophe Lemaitre won bronze by clocking 20.12 seconds.

He had earlier won the 100 m gold.

The official Twitter handle of the Rio Olympics said: " @usainbolt #JAM has won #Gold in the 200m, defending his London 2012 title and completeing 2/3 of the triple-triple! #Athletics."
