Rohit smashes century

Melbourne, Mar 19 (IBNS): Indian opener Rohit Sharma smashed a century in the crucial quater-finals clash against Bangladesh here on Thursday.

India were 241 for four at the end of 44 overs.

Rohit Sharma was unbeaten at 109 runs. He has smashed  11 boundaries and  six in his knock so far.

MS Dhoni (0*) and Sharma are currently at the crease.

India have lost the wickets of Shikhar Dhawan (30), Virat Kohli (3), Ajinkya Rahane (19) and Suresh Raina (65).

India earlier won the toss and elected to bat first.
