Mumbai, Oct 14 (IBNS): Fondly remembering Gautam Gambhir's knock in the 2011 World Cup final, Indian cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar wished former Kolkata Knight Riders skipper on his birthday.

Gambhir turned 37.

" Fondly remember your innings from the World Cup final, @GautamGambhir! Have a great year ahead," Sachin tweeted as he greeted the Indian cricketer.

Gambhir, a stylish opener, played crucial knocks during the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 World Cup.

He scored 57 and 97 runs in the respective matches.
